Biography

Moo's mother died when he was 8 and he was raised by his older sister. He was educated at Seh Chuan High School (now Shuqun Primary School) and The Chinese High School in Singapore. He became a permanent resident of Singapore later.

Moo started his music career at the age of 17. He started his first band, "Subway Band" (地下铁) in high school and began performing on stage in 1983. A year later, he released his first album, which topped Singapore's record charts for Mandopop. Subsequently, he launched his singing career in the Republic of China (Taiwan). Since then, Moo has released more than 40 albums in Mandarin and Cantonese, and performed in over 40 concerts.

In 1994, Moo appeared live in concert with Richard Marx at the Hard Rock Cafe in Singapore. The show was broadcast in several countries on various cable television channels and later issued on an Asian DVD.

Moo currently resides in Taiwan with his Taiwanese wife. In early 2006, he shifted his focus to the mainland Chinese market. He held his latest concert on October 6, 2007, at The MAX Pavilion in the Singapore Expo.
